A practice built on longer visits

Dr. Gustavo Lombardi opened Gramercy Dental Studio because adults kept telling him the same thing: the visit was over before they had understood it. So the appointments here are longer, the options are in writing and no one is asked to decide in the chair.

Today Dr. Pallavi Joshi and Yazmin Cervera work alongside him. Together they provide general dentistry and the cosmetic work people ask about, and refer you to an oral surgeon or orthodontist when a case needs one.

  • Time to talk

Visits are booked long enough for questions, and your dentist shows you what they see.

  • A plan on paper

You get your options, the visits each takes and a written estimate before any treatment starts.

  • Plain words

We explain the steps, the risks and the other choices, including waiting.

  • Comfort on request

Tell us how you like to be numbed and when you need a break. We stop when you ask.

What to expect

A year with us

The usual shape of a first year for an adult who comes in for a cosmetic or restorative plan. Yours may differ.

  1. 01
    Visit 1

    Step 1: The first visit

An exam, any X-rays your dentist decides on, and a long conversation.

  2. 02
    Week 1

    Step 2: Your plan

Options, visits and a written estimate, sent or handed to you.

  3. 03
    When you choose

    Step 3: Treatment begins

Work starts only once you say yes, in the order you agreed.

  4. 04
    After treatment

    Step 4: A check-in

Your dentist looks at the result with you and answers what has come up.

  5. 05
    Ongoing

    Step 5: Regular visits

A schedule your dentist sets with you for exams and cleanings.

What we don't do

Some things we leave out on purpose.

  • Rush a decision

You can take your plan and estimate home and call us when you are ready.

  • Start without a plan

No treatment begins until you have the options and the estimate in writing.

  • Keep a case we shouldn't

When a case needs an oral surgeon or orthodontist, we refer you and send your records.
